Recommended Gear

So you’ve got the ATV, now you need the ATV gear to go with it. For this, you’re going to need some knowledge on what to look for, and some money. No one said this was a cheap sport, and that’s because it isn’t!  Even though you likely just spent thousands to get your ATV and something to haul it, you are going to need to spend a little extra to get the best and safest enjoyment out of your investment.

After lots of research and testing, these are my recommendations.  Keep in mind, however, that these items are not necessarily all the highest-end items.  My goal on this page is to recommend gear that is priced really well while still maintaining a high-quality standard.

While I spent my teenage years flying through the mountains on an ATV, no helmet and whatever clothes I happened to be wearing, it’s super important you invest the money to protect yourself with the proper clothing, helmet and other gear.

Accidents can happen when traveling at high and low speeds, riding through forests, cornering and especially when jumping. And sometimes it’s not even your fault, but the guy who comes plowing into you from the side. Not if, but when, you get into an ATV accident, you will want to make sure you are protected.

It's not all safety equipment though.  You need a few key items to help you use your ATV and keep it functioning at top performance.
