Update on Maine ATV riding for 2019-2020

Unfortunately, it looks like the riding season is done for the year in Maine. The state put out the following announcement today.

Due to the recent snowstorm, all remaining state ATV trails are now CLOSED for ATV use except for the Downeast Sunrise Trail which is currently open on a day-to-day basis. In addition, most of the club trails are also closed so ATV riding is mostly done for the year. Time to dig out the snowmobiles and make sure they are ready to go! Most areas haven’t started grooming yet but the snowpack is fast getting to the point where they will be able to soon. Please obey all closures especially “No Motorized Vehicles Except Snowmobiles” signs. We will be updating the status of the Sunrise Trail as conditions warrant.Thank you.For additional trail updates check with your local ATV club.
